the celestial call … a star force battalion story

What started out as my graduation project from ArtCenter College of Design, developed into a lifelong story that I would nurture in the years to come. As life shaped me, the original Star Force became the girls who answered the Celestial Call- leaders of the divine feminine, stewards of balance within the universe combating the inevitable chaos that dares to disrupt. Roxie, Fleur, and Novah- have seen themselves as normal people living on Earth until they received the call… nothing has been the same since.

Early Development;

Inspired by magical girl storytelling and intergalactic mech fashions- the world built around Roxie, Fleur, and Novah takes the essence of girlhood from Sailor Moon, the technological optimism at the precipice of the late 1980s, and the overwhelming burden of saving the world through “Overwatch”-esque combat core- blends them all together into a story that I’ve been waiting to tell.
